A Special Birthday

This card, as you can see,  was made to celebrate a special birthday. As it's for a lady perhaps it isn't prudent to name her on her 60th, but let's just say she's ageing EXTREMELY well!!!
It wasn't quite what I set out to make.
The stamps are from the Memorable Moments set which enables you to make any age/anniversary. The Stamp-a-majig allows perfect line-up and makes the whole process so much easier.
Set onto a cherry cobbler base card I then added a layer of whisper white and cherry cobbler core-dinations, both were run throught the Big Shot in the perfect polka dots embossing folder prior to sticking to the front of the card. The core-dinatins was also lightly sanded.

Nicky's Make & Take

Today I'm showing you the card that Nicky made for last Saturday's launch. This set caught my eye immediately when I saw it in the new catalogue and I still keep thinking that I must get it.

Called Perfect Parners, the set consists of a coffee cup stamp and 2 greetings, which can be stamped around the band of the cup or used separately. Priced at £9.95 for clear mount (wood mount also available) , I think it's fabulous value and useful for friends cards as well as notelets, and invittions to coffee mornings etc.,
I off to play now - Nicky loaned the stamps to me and I can't wait to get started!

Pat's Make & Take

As promised, here are the cards that Pat prepared for her Make & Take last Saturday.

She used the Flower Shop stamp set along with the Pansy Punch - makes cutting out a doddle! Washi tape is from the Gingham Garden set - 3 rolls for £4.50, a bargain!
Pretty, and another effective way of using our washi tape.

Cathryn's Make & Take

Quick pic of the Make and Take that Cathryn did for Saturday. Both she and Pat showed ways to use our new washi tape. Both made very attractive cards.
The washi tape on the left is the Gingham Garden tape and the tape on the righthand card is Epic Day. Priced at £4.50 for 3 different rolls.
Cathryn has used the Everything Eleanor and Label Love stamp sets along with the matching Label Love punch. Label Love can be purchased as a bundle which gives you a saving of 15% to spend on other 'must haves'- how good is that!
Next post I will show you Pat's cards, then I'll post Nicky's.

New Catalogue M&T

Today I got together with some ladies, both customers and other demos, to showcase a few of the products from our new catalogue.
There were also 4 make and takes for the ladies to enjoy.I couldn't decide between the two cards I'd made, one using Gently Falling stamps, the other utilised the Backyard Basics bundle. Eventually settled on the leaves as, although it's not a brand new set, none of my customers had used it and it also tied in with other cards on offer, two of which used washi tape.
We were going to use the rock n' roll technique but as my inkpads are still new and very juicy I found it was better to use daubers on the edges of the stamps.
The base card is strawberry slush and the inks strawberry slush, crisp cantaloupe, pistachio pudding and coastal cabana - four of the new In Colours.
I'll post the other 3 cards (from Nicky, Pat and Cathryn) over the next few days.

Listening to the Beach Boys

I'm listening to Salt Lake City by the Beach Boys as I type this post. Why? Well, 13 of our UK demonstrators have landed in Salt Lake City today for their 1st US Stampin' Up! Convention. Looks as if they were expected!....
They each won themselves an incentive trip to Utah. It's the first time that UK demos have had a chance to visit the 'Home Office' and they've been flown out early to enable them to take part in the US convention as part of Stampin' Up's 25th celebrations prior to their fabulous holiday.
I'm hoping that they'll be able to feed back some of the news and fun whilst there. In the meantime, if you'd like to listen in to a little Beach Boys click on the youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSSj4hC3zvQ

Grungy Chalk Talk

Today's card features three different stamps sets. The first is Clockworks, the other two are brand new - Gorgeous Grunge and Chalk Talk  I've also used two other new products - the Chalk Talk Framelits and our Simply Pressed Clay.
This picture show the card with matching envelope........
Here is a close up of the card on it's own..........
Chalk Talk can be seen on page 12 of our catalogue, buy both stamp set and framelits together and save 15%. The set, when used with white ink on black card gives the effect of a chalkboard. However, here I wanted a different take for the card. Both Gorgeous Grunge and Clockworks are on Page 109.
The Simply Pressed Clay is fun to play with. You can use it 'freeform' to make your own shapes or buy the moulds to use with it, these are in the form of flowers and buttons - you can see one of the buttons on the card. They're easy to make, they air dry then you simply colour then - I used our marker pens. You can find the clay and moulds on page 167.
If you'd like to order any of these items or other products from our catalogue then contat me on 07725 217695 or lesleylendon@gmail.com.

Here Comes Summer!

The heat seems to have arrived, so something for summer. Here is another card from last month's Stamp Camp. No new colours on this one but some new stamps.

The flower is from the Best of Flowers set. You won't find this in our catalogue, as the name suggests, it's part of our 'Best of...' range. Each month for 5 months a new set is released and Best of Flowers was the set for June. July's 'Best of' is butterflies. The sets will be available until 31st March or whilst stocks last. The other new set featured here is a new hostess set - Banner Greetings. As with all our hostess sets, this set represents great value for money and can only be purchased when you host a party or workshop, or if you're one of my Stampers 10 and you're hostess of the month. Bright and cheery, fresh and summery. I hope you like today's card.

More 'Spot the Colours'

If you read my previous post or my facebook page then you'll know that I'm playing 'Spot the Colour'. Now, I don't mind if it's a 'staple' from our colour families, last year's In colours, one of the newly introduced colours or from the In Colours 2013 -2015 - I'm on the look out for it.
Today, on my facebook page, I shared the photo of 2 delicious desserts I had yesterday at afternoon tea. Well, it was afternoon tea but the only booking I could get was at 1.30pm which, to me, is still lunchtime. However, we were still tucking in for an early tea at 3pm!  I'd waited since April to get that booking so wasn't going to miss it, and I'm so glad I didn't!!!
I make no apologies as I share the photo again here.
In the background is crisp cantaloupe topped with strawberry slush (two of this year's new In Colours) - indeed, they were crushed strawberries and very delicious too! At the front is very vanilla with....well, I can't quite decide. The decoration is garden green but the stripe? I'm still not sure. What do you think?

I just spotted this picture on a demonstrator forum and couldn't resist sharing it here and on my FB page. I sooooo LOVE the colour combination!
Can you pick out the Stampin' Up! colours? What do you think???

Stampin Stars Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to our Stampin' Stars Blog Hop. You may have arrived here from Louise's blog, she always has fab projects to share. Wherever you start on this hop, it really doesn't matter. Sit back with a cuppa and enjoy - you can't get lost - it goes in a loop! I'll explain all at the end of this post.
Today I'd like to share not only a brand new stamp set with you but also brand new colours and a new punch. How's that!
I've been playing with the new Label Love set of stamps (and matching Artisan Label Punch). The stamps are on page 33 of the new catalogue. There are 7 stamps in the set, in today's post I'll be showing 2 of them.
My first card is a wedding card in shades of very vanilla and basic grey. You can't quite see that the vanilla is embossed. Lately it seems to be the fashion to have a sweetie stall or table at weddings, so my little favour holds chocolate. Not glamorous but I wanted to keep it simple,it fits the bill and matches the card.

You'll have to take my word that it looks much smarter in real life!

It's taken a little while for some of the new In Colours to grow on me. I instantly warmed to Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana so they would be easy for me to choose. the I saw some zingy cards on the Inking Idaho blog where Becky used strawberry slush with coastal cabana and whisper white. I will unashamedly tell you that I've CASE'd these cards, making only slight variations - possibly not visible to the human eye, because they just jumped right out of the screen at me! I'm sharing here and have made a matching gift box. There are 2 photo's (since many of you know about me and my 'fuzzifoto's), one shows both items......

and the other is a close up of the card where you can see that I've punched and aperture for the stamp to sit behind.

Finally, just a glimpse of something I've been working on. Many of you will have seen the recent 'This 'n That' promotion. I've started to fill my book, it looks like a 10 year old has been playing with it. But the reason that I want to share a little here is that I've used the brand new ABC 123 Outline Alphabet & Numbers and ABC 123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers stamp sets (page 131). These sets can be used alone or together, as I've attempted to do with my title down the right hand side of the page. Here are two photo's - the first showing the stamped word in context, the second a close up.

Not the best example of stamping or lining up - should have worn my specs when using my stamp-a-majig! You really have popped into my personal world here!
Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy our blog hop.
Below are to buttons to take you both to the next fab blog, which is Kate's, and to the previous one, should you prefer to go anti-clockwise or have not visited Louise. Neither should be missed!
